About Zach

As a seasoned prosecutor, Zach specializes in cases involving drug dealing, gangs, and shootings. He has tirelessly worked to protect the rights of crime victims here in Waukesha County and throughout Southeast Wisconsin for more than a decade.

Zach has completed over 50 jury trials in his career and currently is a member of the drug unit in the district attorney’s office.  Zach has witnessed the devastation caused by illegal narcotics in our community. With his partners in law enforcement, he has worked to hold accountable the criminals who traffic these poisons in Waukesha County.  As a judge, Zach will be mindful of the roles addiction and substance abuse play in the criminal justice system, but he will not shy away from holding drug dealers responsible for their recklessness and greed.

Before devoting his career to public service, Zach grew up in Rosendale, Wisconsin, and graduated from Northwestern University in 2011 with a degree in U.S. History and Political Science. In 2014 he graduated cum laude from Marquette Law School with a certificate in litigation and special honors for pro bono service.

Zach and his wife Ali have lived in Waukesha County for over a decade. Zach is running for judge to preserve the safe environment that initially attracted his family to the area.  Outside of the courthouse he is active in church leadership at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha and regularly volunteers with the Sheriff’s Department Citizens’ Academy, several local DARE programs, and Waukesha Noon Kiwanis. He is also an active member of the Waukesha County Bar Association, as well as the Milwaukee Chapter of the Federalist Society.

Waukesha County has a reputation for having the best judges in the State of Wisconsin. I know I have big shoes to fill. I’m prepared to take the bench and consistently defend the Constitution, uphold the rule of law, and keep our community safe.
